Center for Structural Biology, CSB
Structural biology provides mechanistic insights into the function of macromolecular machineries. With state-of-the-art facilities for X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, the goal of Center of Structural Biology (CSB) is to determine the atomic structures of important protein and/or nucleic acid complexes, especially those implicated in human diseases. In combination with functional studies, the structural studies of CSB hold the capacity of elucidating the precise molecular mechanism of these macromolecular machineries, offering the compressive understanding the pathogenesis of the relative diseases, and also provides the potent help on drug designs and clinical researches.
