July 6-7, 2022, The third Zhejiang University International Doctoral Forum on life and health came to a successful conclusion at the Yuanzheng Qizhen hotel. The Gordon Institute of Cambridge University, the Institute of Molecular Cell Biology of Singapore (IMCB), the school of Health Sciences of the University of Macau (FHS), and the Life Sciences Institute (LSI) of Zhejiang University. The meeting was jointly organized with the participation of the Department of life sciences and medicine of the University of science and technology of China and the Medical College of Zhejiang University. The meeting continued to use the combination of online and offline methods, bringing together nearly 200 teachers and students from different universities at home and abroad.
Xin-hua Feng, the director of LSI, delivered an opening speech. Feng thanked all the cooperation units and speakers of the conference and extended a warm welcome to all participants. He said, this is the third time that we have cooperated with universities and research institutes at home and abroad to hold a Doctoral Forum. Although this meeting can only be held online and offline due to the epidemic, we are glad that we have persevered and made the international workshop exploring the frontier of life and health successful.
Feng pointed out that the common research fields and interests are the basis for our academic communications and cooperation with overseas universities. It is based on this cooperation that we have established a doctoral joint training program with the Gordon Institute of Cambridge University. We hope to promote more cooperation and communications in the future, and this workshop we do is a good start!

The conference was divided into seven sessions: development and evolution (I and II), tumor biology and therapy, immunity, gene expression regulation, biomaterials and new methods, and human diseases. The meeting lasted for two days, with 34 wonderful reports, and a total of 8 excellent speakers were selected: Shuyu Liu (Gordon), Michelle miniter (Gordon), Xiaoman Luo (IMCB), Xiaoyan Wang (FHS), Hao Jia (FHS), Junchao Jiang (LSI), Wen Fang (LSI) and Xinran Li (LSI).

The successful holding of the international workshop of exploring the frontier of life and health and the Doctoral Forum of life and health has created a high-level and colorful academic communication platform for teachers and students of LSI and brother colleges at home and abroad, promoted the development of research in the field of life and health, and laid a solid foundation for the improvement of doctoral training quality.
After the report, Feng presented a souvenir to all the speakers of LSI, hoping that they would make persistent efforts and make achievements in their respective fields. At the same time, all doctoral students are encouraged to actively participate in academic communications and jointly overcome the problems of life science.
