报告人简介：

Prof. Saverio Bellusci obtained his B.A., Master and PH.D at the Université Paris VII, France. In 2010, Dr. Bellusci moved to the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany as a full professor. He holds the chair of lung matrix Remodeling in the Excellence Cluster Cardio-Pulmonary System (ECCPS).

Prof. Saverio Bellusci is the member of the reviewing panels Nature, Science, Development, PLoS Genetics, and others.Also,he is the associate editor for PLoS One, BMC Developmental Biology, Frontiers in Genetics. Besides, he is the member of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR).

Prof. Bellusci’s research is mostly focusing on the role of fibroblast growth factor (Fgf) in lung development and disease.  Work from his group over the last two decades has focused on  Fgf10, a member of the Fgf superfamily of growth factors involved in organogenesis, homeostasis, repair/regeneration and cancer. He also demonstrated that cell fate switching between lipogenic and myogenic fibroblastic phenotypes is involved in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) pathogenesis, opening potential therapeutic avenues to treat patients. Since now, He had already published 162 papers in the international journals, such as in Cell Stem Cell,Nature Communication、Journal of Pathology and so on.
